Kindergarten Newsletter
March 9th - March 13th
I
just thought last week was wild. This week has Friday the 13th,
a full moon, and time change. I. Am. Not. Sure. I. Am. Ready!!! Let’s just bite
the bullet and take it on! J
haha!
We will continue moving through short /i/
words. We’ve done very well with
these words this week. I am very proud of these kiddos. We are going to
continue manipulating words and becoming stronger readers. I am very excited to
see how much they will take off in the last few short months. We only have
about 9.5 weeks left. We will keep working on our habitats. We
have
done
wetlands
and
deserts so far. This week we will
hit on grasslands and rainforest. We’ve started our project at home! Don’t
forget about your habitat project! J
In math,
we
will
move
on
through
some
more
measurement
and
keep working on those numbers. We
are getting very good at breaking them down and manipulating them. It is so
important for them to fully understand how numbers work. Report
cards
will
go home on Friday and Spring
pictures are on Thursday. You do not have to send them in their uniform that
day. J
If you want to send them in something and have them change feel free to do so.
Just let me know!

Tips:
•I’ve started
showing our kiddos these reading strategies below. They are very helpful in
reminding kiddos of ways to help them figure out words instead of stalling or
guessing. It’s a great habit to get into even at this age because this is where reading starts! J We
don’t want to have to break habits later!
